HOW TO CARE FOR YOUR KNITWEAR PIECES

Avoid rough surfaces or sharp objects that could damage your knit piece. Wear your jewelry after putting on your dress.

Hand wash, turn your garment inside out, and gently soak it in cold water for 5-10 minutes, then rinse.

La your knitwear flat to dry. Avoid using high heat or hanging it up, this can affect both the fabric and shape of the garment. Store your knits by folding them, hanging them can cause distortion in both shape and fit.

Step into your strapless dress and avoid putting it on over your head. These care instructions will help maintain the perfection of your knitwear, ensuring your BAOBAB pieces will last forever.

 MATERIALS

Beachwear requires very resistant materials that can be in contact

with water, sun chlorine, salt, and sand; that are fresh and stretch.

These materials are currently synthetic.

Our swimwear and resort wear pieces have mixtures in different

proportions of rayon, elastane, polyester, and spandex.

National shopping bags are biodegradable, they can be

bags are required to be plastic. As every country has different recycling policies, please

find out what is the way to manage plastic in your country.

  • THE IMPORTANCE OF CARING:

According to the Ellen MacArthur Foundation A new textiles economy: Redesigning fashion’s future (2017):

  • 35% of primary microplastics entering the ocean are released through the washing of textiles.
  • Washing and drying clothing alone are estimated to account for 120 million tonnes of CO2 equivalent.
  •  Washing clothing using washing machines is estimated to require an additional 20 billion cubic meters of water per year globally.
  • As garments are washed, chemicals that remain on them from production can be released into wastewater or transported on microfibres which are shed and end up in the environment.
  • Product use is the second activity with higher GHG emissions accounting for 20% of the total value chain impact.
